Import and export event translations

You can now export custom event wording to a CSV, edit it in a spreadsheet, and import it into another event. Reuse terminology from a past event or prepare translations in bulk.

Open Event Settings > General > Content Translations and choose Export. Keep the Translation key column unchanged, then fill in the Translation column with your wording. Choose Import in the destination event to upload the file and map its columns.

Blank translations are skipped. Existing custom wording is kept unless you turn on Replace existing custom wording?. Keep placeholders such as {} unchanged so names and other details still appear correctly.

Imports update event-wide wording only. Page-specific wording and your event language setting stay as they are.

Review chat and poll activity across your sessions

The new Chat & Polls report brings session participation into one place. See how many polls, unique respondents, poll answers and chat messages your sessions have collected.

Open Content & Schedule > Reports > Chat & Polls, then filter by session or scheduled session date. The date range follows your event timezone and includes later replay answers for those sessions.

Choose Export polls or Export chat to download the selected sessions' activity in one CSV. HeySummit emails you a download link when the file is ready, so you can prepare your post-event report without opening each session separately.

Connect HeySummit to Airtable

You can now connect HeySummit to Airtable and automatically sync event attendees to a table in your base.

To set it up, open Event Settings → Integrations, choose Airtable and connect your account. Select a base, table and email field, then map attendee details and registration answers to the Airtable fields you want to update.

HeySummit matches existing records by email and creates a record when no match exists. Fields you haven't mapped stay unchanged. This is a one-way sync from HeySummit to Airtable.

Share one conversation across alternative broadcasts

Attendees watching different versions of the same session can now join one conversation. Alternative broadcasts can share the main broadcast's chat, Q&A and polls, where those tools are enabled. It helps audiences watching translated or alternative streams participate together while choosing their own video.

Open Event Settings > Live & Replay Experience, then choose Share with main broadcast under Alternative broadcast chat rooms. The choice applies across the event. Each session shares with its own alternatives; unrelated sessions keep their own rooms.

Separate chat rooms remains the default. Ticket restrictions still control video access, but they do not make a shared conversation private. Keep separate rooms for private VIP discussion or conversations that should stay within a language group.

See Alternative Broadcast Options For Talks for setup and privacy guidance.

Connect HeySummit to Beehiiv

You can now connect HeySummit to Beehiiv and automatically sync event attendees to your publication.

Go to Event Settings → Integrations, add a CRM or email integration and choose Beehiiv. Enter your Beehiiv API key, then select the publication you want to use. Your Beehiiv account needs API access and the key must have the relevant permissions.

Map attendee details and registration answers to existing Beehiiv custom fields, and optionally tag subscribers with your event name or another label.

Existing unsubscribed contacts stay unsubscribed. The integration respects your publication's double opt-in settings and does not send an extra welcome email.

Send SMS reminders while credit is available

SMS reminders now use your account's available SMS credit without separate event or monthly reminder-count ceilings. This lets you fund larger events or reminders across several events with your included credit and any extra credit you buy.

Open Event Settings > Email & SMS > SMS Reminders to check your estimated reminder volume and credit balance. Reminders pause when there is not enough credit for the next eligible reminder; you can add credit or use automatic top-ups in Billing.

SMS reminders remain available on active paid plans for supported numbers in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada. Attendees must opt in, and receive one reminder before their first selected session each event day. See how to set up SMS reminders.

Show session offers after the session starts

You can now time an offer, freebie or giveaway banner from a session's scheduled start as well as its end. Show it at the opening or a chosen number of minutes into the session.

In Marketing > Offers & Giveaways, edit a perk and open Visibility > Session promotion. Select the sessions, choose After the session starts, and enter the minutes. Enter 0 to reveal the banner at the scheduled start.

Timing follows the scheduled clock, rather than each attendee's video playback. Existing promotions keep their previous end-based timing.

See how to set up session promotions.

Choose whether blog posts show publication dates

You can now choose whether your event blog posts show their publication dates.

Open Blog Settings from Event Settings → Branding and Site Settings, or from the Blog Posts settings sidebar, and turn off Show publication dates when you want to use blog posts for evergreen event content or topic pages.

The setting updates blog cards and individual post pages while keeping your posts, ordering, and RSS feed intact.

Match Stripe payments to event orders

Stripe ticket payments now include details from the HeySummit order, so you can identify the event, attendee and purchased tickets while reviewing payments in Stripe.

Open a payment in your connected Stripe account and look for the HeySummit metadata. It includes order and ticket information, plus any applied coupon. Recurring charges include details of the individual ticket being charged.

No extra setup is needed. The details are added to new payments; older payments are not backfilled automatically.

Collect poll responses during replays

Replay viewers can now answer polls that ran during your broadcast. Results combine live and replay answers, with a Live/Replay breakdown available through Combined.

Open Audience Tools > Polls from your event dashboard and turn on Allow replay responses? when creating or editing a poll. You can change it later in Poll details and results, including after live voting closes.

Replay responses are optional and off by default. Each viewer has one hour from their first replay visit to respond, and one answer per person across live and replay. Only polls activated during the session being replayed are eligible. Closing live voting does not stop replay responses; disable replay acceptance separately.

Live poll response time can now be set up to 24 hours. Scheduled polls remain capped at the time left in the session. See the polling guide.
