Ticket Sales Timer / Countdown Visible to Attendees

I’d love to suggest a feature enhancement for HeySummit that would significantly increase urgency and improve ticket conversion rates. Currently, we can display low-ticket alerts (e.g. "Only X tickets left")—which is great! But I’d love the option to visibly show a countdown to when a ticket tier is expiring or becoming unavailable. This is especially useful for time-limited offers (like early bird tickets or fast-action bonuses), where the scarcity is based on time, not quantity. I know we can expire tickets now on the back-end in terms of when they close date and time - but I want a Countdown visible to the Potential Attendees Here’s what I’m envisioning: - A toggle switch that enables a “Ticket Expiry Countdown” per ticket type. - The ability to set when the countdown becomes visible, e.g., only start showing X days or hours before the ticket expires (just like how we can choose when to show low inventory notices). - The countdown could show in formats like “3 days left at this price” or a visual countdown timer. - Bonus: An option to highlight this visually in the ticket block, e.g., bold red text, small timer icon, etc. This would help drive urgency and action, especially for summit hosts using tiered pricing strategies or time-limited bonus access. Let me know if this is something that’s being considered or could be added to the roadmap—I think it could be a really powerful conversion feature. Thanks again for the amazing platform you're building!

Hi Ben, The idea is for the timer to appear in the ticket’s box when people are on the landing page. I’ve seen this done for festivals - where there’s release of tickets in ‘batches’ for instance. I made a visual for what I’ve got in my head for HeySummit. So people can see that the Sales Window is different for different tickets and that if they miss getting a particular ticket they may be forced to buy later at a higher price. I hope this makes sense.

@ben - missed to tag you and to also say - No, not necessary to have a banner on every page about the ticket sales countdown.

Hey Leah, if you don't need it on every page, are you basically saying that you just want it on the ticket selection page so that next to the ticket in question, there is a countdown displayed? If so, that functionality should already be in place, but please do let me know if I'm misunderstanding something.

Hi @ben - I’d like to have the timers for each ticket displayed in the ‘ticket box’ on the landing page where they are featured. For reference, this is the page I’m taking the screenshots from: https://healfromheartbreak.lifesexplicit.com/ I’ve not seen the ability to add the countdown timer thing to the ticket box itself. I’ve seen a ‘countdown’ until the event - like here, underscorred with red: but not seen a timer on the tickets themselves - as in when this ticket will become unavailable/close for sale - on the landing page in the ticket box itself: And not when ppl select the ticket - In a perfect world, I’d love there to be something like ‘Closing Sales for this Ticket in…’’ and a countdown - example (improvised stitched image)

Gotcha! Thanks Leah for sharing that information. That's incredibly helpful. The thing that was confusing me is that if you add a single ticket to a landing page and if there's a time limit to when that price will be available, then our countdown does automatically appear. But it looks like that wasn't set up to work for the ‘available tickets’ component on the landing page (the one that shows multiple tickets and the one you were using), so we're just rolling out our fix now. It will now show the countdown in that scenario as well. If you give it maybe 5-10 minutes and then reload the landing page, you should now see a countdown for the tickets that have a price that is expiring soon.

Hi Leah, Thanks for sending this in. Just wanted to double-check my understanding of what you're outlining here. When you set an expiration date on a price within a ticket, that will already cause a visual countdown to appear against that ticket wherever it's shown (i.e. in the checkout). Is that what you're essentially after? Or are you saying that in addition to showing the countdown on the ticket itself, you'd also like a banner that appears at the top of every single page, incorporating a similar countdown?
