"Requires Approval" option for tickets

Can we please have the ability to toggle approval for a ticket sale? This is because (a) sometimes we need to reach a minimum before an event can be confirmed to run (b) some events require attendees to have certain qualification/experiential backgrounds. In situations where we would need to reject and refund an attendee, the stripe fee is still payable. The hold on a card lasts around a week, giving us ample time to approve the registration before it expires and save us and attendee from any inconvenience/expense.

I support this feature request. Currently I need to use our appointment scheduler (Trafft) to do this.

I can see a different use case which would be a cool to have. We have had issues in the past with folks registering for free aditional networking activities, and we toyed with the idea of “it is free unless you do not show up in which case you are charged”. Would only work for last minute meetups and add-ons if Stripe only allows 7 day holds. Still and something we would experiment with if available.

Hi Cynthia, Thanks so much for sharing this suggestion - it’s a really thoughtful idea. At the moment, it’s not something we’re planning to prioritise, mainly because it’s a bit of an edge case and brings in added complexity around card authorisations that we don’t currently support. That said, it’s definitely not a closed door. We’d love to keep it on our radar and see if there’s broader interest from the community. Leaving it on the feedback board will help us gather input from other organisers, which could shape how we approach it in the future. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback - it’s really valuable for us.
