Option to reward affiliates $X per registration

Useful even in scenarios where the event is free, so that a monetary reward program can be setup for affiliates based on how many attendees they refer (even if those attendees sign up to a free ticket).

Sounds good, especially if you can automate payment only on tracking if that free member becomes active or not. I suppose event owners would like to define active to their standards.. Completed custom questions, watched x sessions or what have you. The alternative would be open to abuse or quite time consuming to police I imagine.

Hey Andrew - i think that's a slightly different use case. The customer I spoke to regarding this was actually offering a free event only, but still wanted to have a way to reward affiliates. Essentially they were wondering whether we could upgrade the affiliate programme so that it would attribute a fixed dollar amount per registered attendee, so that they could further incentivise referrals, even though they would be free, non paying attendees. If we're talking about paying commission only if they become active (by which i assume you mean that they later on upgrade to a paid ticket), then the existing affiliate commission structure would kick in at that point. This is purely for scenarios where there isn't a transaction taking place, but you still want to be able to reward. In either case, this isn’t something we'll be doing immediately, keen to see what the wider support is like.

Hi Ben, I understood the clients use case: a fixed $X per registration even when the event is free. I agree. My point was payout control. If payout triggers on email-only signups, it invites abuse. Proposal: let organisers define when a free registrant becomes “qualified” before an affiliate payout is earned. Possible qualifiers: - Email confirmed. - Profile completed to required fields. - Required custom questions answered. - Watched one session or checked in live (if tracking is enabled). - Minimum time-on-platform or a confirmed event-email click. For free events, payout fires when the qualifier is met. The current flow where a free registrant later buys and triggers standard commission remains unchanged, and this works great for me at this time. So not in any particular rush to reward free signups, but can see the use case for free events and other things in future. Simply flagging the fraud risk and a lightweight safeguard so support load stays low while incentives remain strong if it does get implemented. I think it was a solid request from the customer, definitely a use case, just need so controls and safety rails in place imo. Thanks for listening :=) - Andrew

any chance we can do this manually in the interim, is there a report we can run which shows us all the referrals someone made even if it was just a free ticket? I know its not as cool as them seeing a running total of earnings, but would be a good stop gap. The initial feature request has really got me thinking :=)

Hey Andrew, what you can do is head to the main attendee list, export that, and then filter based on referrer or affiliate.
