Delete media assets

I uploaded a blurry image to my media assets and want to delete it. I am not seeing a way to delete or edit who sees it after the fact. I have uploaded better images since and would love to remove this one so it makes me look better as the organizer and makes it easier for the speakers to grab the right images.

Hey Lara - you can already delete or replace uploaded media assets from Promotion > Media Assets. On the Uploaded Assets tab, open the Actions menu on the asset card, then choose Edit to replace the file or adjust visibility, or Delete to remove it. I’ll close this feedback item for now but if you have any further questions just let. us know.

Thanks, Ben. I don’t see this option and had also asked Fin before posting. It is not showing me anything other than Add Assets or download for the ones already added. When I click on the more info, I see the directions for adding assists and swipe copy. When I click for Help from there, I get an error page. I’m not seeing any way to edit or delete.

Can you confirm that you are definitely in the Promoting > Media Assets area? If so, you should see some tabs at the top of that page titled "Uploaded Assets" and "Generated Assets". Can you confirm that you are trying to edit or delete items in the Uploaded Assets tab? The reason I ask is that it's assets in that folder (i.e., assets that you have uploaded yourself) that you can then replace or delete. Generated assets are created automatically for you and cannot be deleted in that way, but if you hover over a generated asset, it will tell you where you can then replace that.

Yes, I go to Promoting then Media Assets. I see the uploaded and generated. The images are displayed beneath this and each has a download option. Nothing happens if I hover over them. I’m only looking at the ones I’ve created and added myself.

Can you confirm which event you are looking at?

I’m looking at my Shark Tooth Summit event.

Thanks, Lara. That was the clue we were looking for. Looks like there was a slight bug causing those extra actions not to appearing in all circumstances. We've just rolled out an update now so that if you go back to the media assets area, you will now see a button to reveal preview, edit and delete actions. Hope this helps, and thanks for helping us get to the bottom of it.

Thank you so much! Just checked and it’s there now so I could delete it.
