Checkout question

Would it be possible to add a question as part of the registration process? A simple question similar to how we can do elsewhere like Where did you learn about this event? or Which session drew you here? And then a drop down option for them to select through? The drop down could include things like the speaker names, talk titles, or friend/flyer/etc.options we can type in ourselves. I know we have the affiliate links tracking when they’re used, I just would be interested because if I put up physical flyers, for example, with just my main link, I’d love to see the impact they have too.I also may post at places like libraries and, if the flyer has a good impact, make a donation there vs needing to contact and set up an affiliate link for them.

Hi Lara, Thanks for the suggestion. This is something that we typically recommend that you achieve by creating a custom registration question, as this gives you all the flexibility you need to add the additional registration questions that you need, decide whether you want it mandatory or optional, etc. As such, I'll mark this as closed, but if you feel I've missed anything or if you're trying to achieve something that you can't do with our custom registrations facility, do let me know.

That’s perfect! I thought it was only via emails. Just added some, thanks!

OK, this might be too fancy (though that doesn’t seem possible for you!) is there any way to add a specific question for those who use an affiliate link? I think some of my speakers would love to be able to ask the audience coming via their links a specific question. Not necessary, just an added fancy consideration. As the event organizer, I am happy with the custom field.

Yep, great idea. We've just rolled this out. When you now add or edit a custom field, you'll have the option of restricting it to only appear when there's an active affiliate link in the URL. Further than that, you can optionally restrict it to specific affiliates should you need to.
