Add the ability for attendees to set their own price on tickets

I would like to be able to choose a pay-what-you-want pricing option for virtual event tickets. Ideally, the item would display and default to a suggested price and allow the purchaser to change the amount to anything down to a minimum cost I’ve set. Fields needed for ideal setup: 1. pay-what-you-want toggle 2. minimum price 3. suggested price

Now that I understand all the revenue-generating options in HeySummit, I would like to adjust this suggestion slightly to say this would be a useful feature for me on both Tickets and Add-Ons. I see name your price is available for Donations, but there is no ability to set a minimum price. I would prefer to be able to set something like a $1-3 minimum to ensure people can’t set an amount that’s less than the flat rate portion of the credit card processing fee.

Hey Heather, This is a great suggestion, and as you have noted, this is a feature that we've had available for donations. So, we have now rolled this out to tickets and add-ons as well and slightly tweaked the default amount behaviour. The default amount entered now becomes the ‘minimum’, ensuring that people cannot go below whatever amount you enter there. You can view more in the changelog below. Thanks again for the suggestion, and if you have any feedback or issues, just let us know. https://heysummit.userjot.com/updates/p/flexible-pricing-now…

Thank you for the quick turnaround on this! Your solution is slightly off from the user experience I was requesting, as my original vision was to set the suggested price to something like $15 and the minimum price to something like $1-$3. This new option is still useful to me though. I think we’ll go with offering a few set-price addons for “support levels” mentioning what their support helps us pay for, then add this flexible price option to the bottom.

Hey, thanks Heather. Appreciate you following up. We did consider adding a suggested amount plus a minimum, but it was getting quite clunky in terms of the user experience and the space available to easily configure and manage individual prices within a ticket. To strike the right balance, we opted to set just a minimum price. We will, of course, continue to listen to feedback as this new feature is rolled out. Never say never, but for now, this feels like a suitable balance. Thanks again for suggesting the feature in the first place.
