Activate PayPal for recurring memberships

I have connected our PayPal account to collect ticket and recurring membership payments. However, it seems receiving recurring payments in HeySummit is currently only possible with Stripe. Stripe is not available for companies registered in China. We therefore have been using PayPal to receive membership payments since 2019 and it works well. It is definitely possible to integrate PayPal for receiving recurring membership payments. We have used ThriveCart to collect recurring membership payments for years and earlier we used Restrict Content Pro. We have also set it up successfully in Content Creator Machine and Stan Store, although we eventually didn’t go ahead with these platforms. Please look into this. Not being able to set up memberships is a big painpoint.

PS. I know HeySummit has a ThriveCart integration, but I don’t want to take our audience to another platform. Moreover, I dislike the page builder in ThriveCart and one of my reasons for buying HeySummit is to move away from ThriveCart.

Hey Henk, Thanks for sending this in. We do ultimately aim to support recurring subscriptions in PayPal, but we've got a few other items to get out of the way first before we can focus on this. It is in our list though, and I'll make sure to update you when it's ready. I just can't provide an ETA at this point unfortunately.
