Report: Checklist of all assets for a given event.

Problem

Currently, taking care of customizing all assets (icons, media, etc.) requires going menu by menu, clicking around and most importantly remembering where is everything. This can be a problem when for instance you’d want the graphic designers to the the ones updating the event since now they also need to learn how to navigate the admin interface. Moreover, the admins are tasked to make a “manual list” of all the assets the graphic designers need to work on (including sizes, etc.).

Solution

Create an automated report that:

  • Lists all the needed assets for a given event, tagged as Mandatory, Desirable, Optional

  • Mandatory would be the ones that the event can’t run without

  • Desirable would be the ones that would be a good thing to have

  • Optional would be the ones that are up to the admins

  • Admins can then selected those assets as Yes, No, Done (implicit once the asset is uploaded?) and MAYBE Redo (not certain this extra step is productive) to instruct the graphic designers

  • Graphic Designers (maybe some new permissions on the Team?) can only see this report where they would find the list of assets + their dimensions and allow them to upload the files (which updates the event itself)

This seems to be a very good way to improve production flow.

Note: There’s something to be said about automating this though I’ll leave it out for now.)
