option to leave Chat and Q&A text entry active

We had an event today in which our session times where set to correct date and times but the platform automatcilly removed the text entry fields from the Chat and Q&A widget so the online audience could no longer submit anything. Can you please create a toggle so we can select “Interaction Persistance” or simialr that leaves the text entry acitve no mater the time or statius of the event.
