"Move" existing events "into" other (ongoing) events

I am setting up an ongoing event which will act as a membership platform. From now on, I will create all our future events within this ongoing event.

However, I have a past event which I would like to move into the ongoing event, so that the content becomes available within the membership platform and the attendees become (free) members on the platform.

I can’t find a way to do this, so I would like to request this as a new feature.
