Current Behaviour:
Enabling or disabling live chat currently applies event-wide. If live chat is disabled globally, it cannot be selectively enabled for specific stages or sessions. Conversely, if enabled, it also appears on on-demand replays where comments would be more appropriate.
On our replays we have live chat appear next to video, as well as comments below the video. Not sure if this is a bug, or intentional. I am fairly confident this was not the case before. If it is not a bug then the issue is highlighted below:
Problem:
The “Disable Interactive Features” option is only available per session, or as a global setting with no way to override for a single stage or session.
Live chat appears embedded in replays/on-demand sessions, where it feels out of place, especially since comments/feedback are automatically enabled for each replay/view-on-demand.
Addressing this currently requires adjusting 300+ sessions manually via advanced settings, which is highly inefficient.
Proposed Solution:
Add granular controls for interactive features, allowing:
A live chat option that can be toggled by stage or session, overriding the global setting if interactive features are set to OFF.
Comments to remain available for on-demand/replay sessions.
I’m also open to other workarounds, including a bulk edit option to simplify management across large events.
