We recently cloned our multi-day Live event and changed the event type in the cloned event to a Video Course. (We offer the same course as an independent learning course.) To our surprise, the dates and times were all retained.
Jerica gave this explanation:
“The reason we don’t automatically clear all talk dates when switching the event type to a video course is that we allow the option to set dates even within video courses. This gives flexibility if you want certain sessions or videos to become available only at a specific time in the future. So, when changing an event to a video course, we leave any existing dates as they are rather than assuming they should be removed.”
That’s fine. However, we have 63 “Talks” that now need us to go in and remove date/times from all of them!
Can we please request to have a button (at least for Video Learning events) that allows us to remove dates and times (i.e., toggles the availability under “Managing Your Talk” to: “It should be available now”).
This will save me a lot of time right now, in the future, and make the platform a more rounded proposition. Currently a lot of things take us a lot more time than our current system and this is another one of those things!
