New Setting to Automatically Cancel Refunded Tickets

To give organisers more control over attendee access, we’ve introduced a new setting in the Billing & Tax Settings section: Auto Cancel Tickets When Refunded. This addition helps ensure that only paying attendees can access event content, while still allowing flexibility for special cases.

What’s New

  • New Auto-Cancel Option: When enabled (default), refunded tickets are automatically cancelled, immediately revoking access to talks, sessions, and other restricted content.

  • Access Control: Refunded attendees will no longer be able to use their tickets to attend sessions or view gated content.

  • Organiser Flexibility: You can disable this setting if you prefer to allow continued access post-refund—ideal for partial refunds, customer goodwill, or special circumstances.

  • Platform-Wide Enforcement: This setting applies across all access points, including content gating, session check-ins, and attendee permissions.

This update helps maintain fairness while giving you the flexibility to manage exceptions as needed.
