Changelog

Follow new updates and improvements to HeySummit.

May 23rd, 2026

You can now add a custom affiliate agreement to your affiliate sign-up flow.

When added, affiliates will be asked to confirm they agree before signing up, with a link to view the agreement in full. This helps you clearly communicate affiliate-specific terms before someone joins your program.

May 23rd, 2026

You can now set a separate affiliate commission percentage for speakers who also become affiliates.

This makes it easier to offer speakers a different referral rate without manually adjusting each speaker-affiliate one by one. You’ll find the new option in your affiliate settings.

May 23rd, 2026

You can now require approval before new affiliates are accepted into your event’s affiliate program. When enabled, organisers are notified when someone applies, and approved affiliates receive an email letting them know they can start using their affiliate dashboard.

This gives organisers more control over who can promote their event, while keeping applicants informed throughout the process.

You’ll find the new approval setting in your affiliate settings, and pending approvals are visible from the affiliate area in the event dashboard.

May 19th, 2026

Event organisers can now add an optional welcome video to the Speaker Dashboard. This makes it easier to greet speakers, explain key next steps, and answer common questions in a more personal format.

You’ll find this option in Speaker Settings, and speakers will see the video when they open their dashboard.

May 14th, 2026

You can now upload your own image to use as a visual accent on event page blocks, giving you more control over the look and feel of your landing pages.

Uploaded accent images can be reused across blocks, so you only need to add them once. Custom accents appear as a single placed overlay, with simple controls for position and whether they sit behind or above the block content.

You’ll find this in the page builder when editing a block’s visual accent settings.

May 14th, 2026

You can now customise button hover colours, text colours, and border colours from your theme settings.

This makes it easier to create accessible, on-brand buttons, including outline-style buttons and button states that stay consistent with your event’s visual identity.

You’ll find these options in the theme editor under Colors > Button Colors.

March 23rd, 2026

If you run hybrid or in-person events, you can now choose to have checked-in hybrid tickets count as full attendance for eligible sessions. That means live attendees can be reflected more accurately in attendance tracking and receive the certificates they’ve earned, without extra manual work.

You’ll see this in your event’s Attendance Tracking & Certificates settings, and in attendee certificates after check-in.

March 4th, 2026

You can now choose how sales tax is handled for paid tickets: no tax, tax included in ticket prices, or tax added at checkout. In tax-added mode, attendees will see the base ticket price first, with tax clearly added during checkout.

This gives you clearer, more transparent pricing and better alignment with regions where taxes are typically added at purchase time.

You’ll notice this in your Billing & Tax settings, on ticket price displays (including an “excl. tax” label where relevant), and in checkout/invoice totals.

March 4th, 2026

Attendees can now change ticket quantities directly in the checkout Order Summary using quick + / − controls, with clear quantity display and improved button states when limits are reached.

This makes checkout smoother by reducing back-and-forth, helping attendees correct quantities right before purchase with fewer clicks and less confusion.

You’ll notice this in the Order Summary section during checkout, where ticket lines now include inline quantity controls.

March 3rd, 2026

You can now choose a specific ticket for each talk’s Register call-to-action in Talk Advanced Settings. When set, visitors clicking Register from that talk page are taken into the checkout with that ticket preselected instead of landing on the general ticket list.

This gives you more control over your conversion flow, helps direct people to the most relevant offer, and reduces friction in registration.

You’ll notice this in:

  • The Talk Advanced Settings area (new optional ticket selector)

  • The Register button behavior on public Talk Detail pages
